David MoyaVictor Roselló has been inactive for a while for personal reasons. His last album, released some time ago under the name Sr. Broken, was titled El Álbum. That release featured Germán Javaloyas on vocals and keyboards, and it came out in 2017.
New Single – el Clon
After a long break from music, Victor has decided to return with a new single titled “El Clon”. In a recent conversation with him, he explained the inspiration behind the title: while traveling to Madrid for work, someone mistook another person for him. His colleagues joked that the lookalike must be his clone, and that humorous moment sparked the idea for the song.

First time I heard the song I knew straight away where is was coming from, it is a direct influence from the album of Steve Vai Flex-Able, especially the song “Viv Woman”. Though the song is lighthearted and playful in spirit, it is executed with impressive precision and seriousness. It’s not meant to be taken too seriously, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s brilliantly done.
Victor and I, in the past, use to be part of the same group of friends (we still are), we use to buy records and share them with the rest of the group and record them on tape to exapnd our discography and knowledge in music. That was the music piracy in the 90s. One of us got that Flex-Able album from Steve Vai, expecting something like his Passion and Warfare album, but that was something totally different and totally unexpected for our untrained ears. Victor and I were the only ones listening to it trying to understand it. This is kind of a little tribute of this times: getting new records and sharing with your friends what a magic times.
Victor handled the entire production himself, and it shows—every instrument is clearly audible and well-balanced in the mix. Just because the song is quirky doesn’t mean it’s lacking in quality; in fact, it’s quite the opposite.
