Zac Farro Drops Heartfelt Single Ahead of Solo Album “Operator”

The drummer and co-founder of Paramore, Zac Farro, has announced his debut solo album. Under his personal project HalfNoise, Farro has already written and released five albums, the most recent being City Talk in 2023.

This upcoming album called Operator will be released under his own name, marking a shift toward more intimate and personal themes, including family issues, anxiety, and communication breakdowns. He’ll be joined by two longtime friends and Nashville musicians, Josh Gilligan and Chancey Pierce.

A new single from the album, titled “My My”, has just been released. The track leans more into country-folk than the alternative or indie rock typically associated with Paramore or HalfNoise.

‘My My’ is a personal song about witnessing a loved one try to let go of someone they care for deeply, That kind of silent pain. This song holds a lot of weight and captures those moments of reflection and processing that run throughout the album.”
