Stranger Things Star Finn Wolfhard Directs First Music Video for George Harrison’s song “Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)

After 52 years Strangers Things actor Finn Wolfhard has directed a stop motion music video for George Harrison’s “Give me Love (Give me Peace On Earth).”

A Homage to Gardening

The animators created the music video entirely through stop motion clay animation. It was created by a Canadian team of 20 stop motion animators constructing each frame hand by hand. It follows a clay George Harrison all through Friar Park, paying a particular homage to his love of gardening and nature. With even a few easter eggs thrown in about his expansive music career

Reaching a New Audience

The song is the lead single off of George Harrison’s second album post Beatles, Living in the Material World. Harrison first released the song in 1973. Dhani Harrison (George Harrison’s son) was an executive producer on the project. He explained his intention behind the video and his experience of working with Wolfhard.

“Finn is one of the sweetest and most talented people I know of his generation, and he is the perfect person to direct a video for my dad. My dad would have loved this, and I hope his wonderful, creative, heartfelt ideas help this song reach another generation. Great job, Finn — we love you.”

From Acting to Directing

The Strangers Things star is no stranger to the music scene or directing. In June of 2025, he released his first solo album Happy Birthday. This followed Wolfhard’s time as frontman of Calpurnia and member of The Aubreys. Wolfhard has constantly referenced the Beatles for being one of his own biggest music inspirations.

“To work with the Harrison family and bring this video to life with a team of incredible young Canadian artists has been a great honor. It’s hard to put into words how grateful I am for this opportunity. George Harrison has and will continue to be a huge inspiration to me, and his work will live on forever.”

On top of this Wolfhard made his directorial debut in 2023, with horror comedy Hell of a Summer. He directed and wrote this film alongside Billy Bryck.
