The Lemonheads Cancel All Summer Tour Dates Following Evan Dando’s Hospitalisation Due Mental Health Issues

The Lemonheads have cancelled all Summer tour dates which included Irish music festival Forest Fest. The band made this decision after frontman Evan Dando was hospitalised after sending an explicit video to a fan.

Evan Dando’s Mental Health Struggles

The fan named as Dawn contacted Dando through social media to congratulate the frontman on the band’s latest LP Love Chant. The following day, she received an explicit video. Dawn said to The Underground Bunker .”It’s so gross.I don’t want him to do this to anyone else. It’s just a gross feeling.”

Dando has openly discussed his struggles with addiction and mental health. His publicist told Rolling Stone “He’s been admitted to a local hospital where he’s receiving comprehensive help from experienced doctors and mental health professionals.”

The Lemonheads

The band formed in Boston in 1986. Evan Dando remained as the only constant member of the band. The Lemonheads emerged onto the music scene as an alternative American rock band of the 90s. Fans know the band for songs such as My Drug Buddy and Mrs Robinson. Just recently they dropped their first album in two decades Love Chant.

Forest Fest Left Looking

Forest Fest is a boutique Irish music festival. It is located in Co. Laois and takes places between July 24th-26th. Organisers founded the festival in 2022. The festival have confirmed they are in the process of looking for a replacement and will update ticket holders once organisers find a replacement.
