MOMENTUM FESTIVAL: Galway May Bank Holiday Weekend

One of Ireland’s most looked-forward-to festivals is just around the corner! The Momentum Festival in Oranmore, Galway have announced some of Ireland’s most incredible acts. From nationwide favourites to our up-and-coming future stars. Momentum Festival has it all. Set to take place on the May Bank Holiday weekend, starting on Friday 1st and wrapping up on Monday the 4th.

Where?

Oranmore, Galway, of course! No better place to kick off the start of Summer than Galway. All performances will take place under the Crescendo Tent, the perfect tented location for a blasting weekend of fun. With a capacity of 4,200.

Who? and When?

The Momentum Festival has already announced quite the line-up! With some bangers, national favourites and a chance to see some of Ireland’s bright future stars.

Friday kicks off the electric weekend with Ireland’s own rock icons, The Stunning, set to perform. Joining The Stunning are rock legends The Riptide Movement and the beloved, spellbinding singer-songwriter, Tracy Bruen. Tracy Bruen, a Galway native, is well known for blending folk, prog and pop with classical and theatrical influences to create epic compositions of power and vulnerability which lie between the folk stylings of Joni Mitchell and art pop of Kate Bush.

Friday’s tickets are 49.95, with an extra charge for the booking fee.

Friday and Sunday’s full line-ups have been revealed, but the line-up for Saturday is not fully public. There is already such a build-up of momentum, as a few of Saturday’s acts have been announced. Look forward to 90s and 00s vibes and nostalgia with the announcement that B*witched, D:Ream, Rednex and Mark McCabe will be performing. Saturday’s tickets are 64.95 and fee.

Sunday isn’t slowing down as the acts keep coming and coming! With the headlining act, we all know them and their shirts well. If you’ve walked into any Irish shop selling band tees, youve seen them, The Coronas! Supported by two of Ireland’s rising stars, Oscar Blue and Calum Agnew. Both are dropping new, exciting projects very soon. Oscar Blue is releasing his highly anticipated debut album, “Birds In Winter”, in April. Calum Agnew, the soul pop artist, is releasing his debut EP at the end of this month!

Sunday tickets are 55 euros plus a fee.
