The Strokes announce first album in six years

After their six year hiatus, The Strokes announce their seventh studio album Reality Awaits.The announcement arrived through a short clip shared on social media. The clip features a retro sports car and the slogan: “In the Flesh, It’s Even Sexier.” The album is set to release this Summer on the 26th of June. Pre-save of the album is available HERE.

Where Have the Strokes Been?

Since releasing The New Abnormal in April 2020, The Strokes have stayed quiet as a band. Although that album won their first Grammy they stayed lowkey for six years. In the years since, they have played live shows and festivals, while Julian Casablancas also released music with his other band, the Voidz.
